Happy HalloweenHalloween was fun. Isaiah was Superman! Georgia was a Glitzy Glimmery Witch and Brian and I were pirates. We had a great time. Zoo trip We went to the Washington DC Zoo and they had a great time. There were a lot of animals that were not there like the elephants, the bears, hippos, zebras, and sea lions. There was only one lioness and one crocodile/alligator. The orangutans weren't out that long. But the kiddos loved it. They didn't know what they were missing. Before we left Isaiah only wanted to see a giraffe and Georgia only wanted to see an elefante (Spanish for elephant--she does speak some). There were no giraffes at this Zoo and the elefante house was under renovation and weren't there. Georgia said her favorite thing about the trip was the monkeys going up the rope and Isaiah said his favorite was the ice cream...then he changed it to the donkeys.  Ducks in the ParkIsaiah and I had a fun "date" by ourselves and went to Three Lakes Park and he fed the ducks. He stood on the bridge and threw bread into the water for the ducks and tortugas. He loves it!
Then we went bowling for the first time. They didn't relly get it but they had fun. We will not go back until next year but they had a great time. They jumped and yelled Hooray! BirthdayGeorgia had a great 2nd birthday! She wanted a pink bear cake so that's what she got. She was overwhelmed with all the presents but got lots of dress up little princess stuff and loves it. She prances around so pretty in her tiara, earrings, necklace, high heels, a boa, skirt or dress. She is a girly girl. Oh, I forgot about the pocketbook or two or three or four on her arm which has chapstick and a car or a truck in it. So cute. July 4thWe had a fun July 4th. We went to a party/cookout that some friends had. They had the REAL fireworks that went high up in the air. Isaiah would stand up and clap his hands and yell "Hooray!" Georgia said "That scared me". They are so funny. They didn't get into bed until 10:40PM.. WHAT!!! They did great though. Late again!Our pool just opened so we went today...Isaiah, Georgia, me and Brian's mom. The kiddie pool was not opened yet so we got in the big pool. Both children had their life jackets on and with a little encouragement Isaiah started swimming...a doggie paddle but still. He loved it. He would laugh while he was doing it because he was so happy and water would go in his mouth and he would splash around a little and then it would get in his nose and then I would have to help him a little. He was sooooo good. Georgia was a "shark" in the water she said. We are so happy it's finally opened. We are leaving for Nags Head on Saturday so we will have more pictures when we come back so that will be good.
Cute things...
Isaiah will get up in the morning and if he's the first one up he'll go in Gia's room and get in bed with her and read to her and they both are under the covers...it's so precious.
Now that Georgia is in her big girl bed with no side rails either (at least she stays in the bed when we put her there...DRASTIC difference between the two) if she's the first one up in the morning she'll go wake up Isaiah and the next thing I know here they both come walking in our bedroom and get in bed with us. That really is cute. They are so happy and pleasant in the morning after a good night's rest. ~Sigh~ It's wonderful! Great picsI have taken some really cute pics and I can't get them uploaded to the computer's website. UGH!!!!! They, of course, are very cute and I am very disappointed! Cutie PiesIsaiah is saying some very cute and funny things again. Of course, it's better when you're actually in the moment. Georgia is too. They are so sweet. They will just go up to one another and hug and say "I love you". It just melts your heart to see it. They'll run up behind me and hug me and say "I love you, Mommy" or hug my leg. I've always heard other parents say that that is the BEST thing ever and now I get the chance to hear it and know it too.
Tonight, Isaiah keeps saying over and over again..."Te quiero mucho, Mommy. Buenas noches." Over and over! So sweet. He loves for me to kiss him all over so he'll say "Mommy, kiss me all over". I do and he just laughs hysterically! And quenches up his little body. Then he says, "I kiss you all over, Mommy" and he does and it's so cute and sweet. Just had to share these sweet moments! 2009Oh my gosh, it's been a long time since I've been on here and updated. I'll try to do better.
The children are growing so fast. They are keeping us VERY busy. Isaiah is unstoppable at talking now. Potty training....what potty training??? He will have NO parts of it. It will come with time. Georgia is talking in 4 word sentences and is so playful and adorable.
Isaiah was very sick the pnemonia and the flu but is all better now. Georgia is having some issues as well, that have been going on since early January that we are hoping are resolving but she will continue to battle for years to come.
They are really playing together now so well. Yes, of course they do fight but they laugh and joke and tickle and chase each other. It's just so sweet.
Isaiah said "I love you" and the next week Georgia said "I love you". Isaiah's sounds like this, "I was you" and Gia's is like this, "E-I-O" but I know what she means.

Isaiah is no longer allergic to eggs! YEAH!!!!! GOTCHA DAY AND HOME --- 2 YEARS LATER Isaiah had a FUN Gotcha Day on Thursday! We went to Crump Meadow Park and they played on the trains and firetrucks and had an awesome time. We took pics and will upload those later. Then we just played the rest of the day too. It was so fun. On Sunday, was his HOME Forever day. We went to church and played some more when we got home. It seems so crazy that it has been 2 years. Time is flying by. When I tell Isaiah about our adoption story now, he asks, "Mommy, Georgi adopt too?" So sweet. I explain to him, simply. Everything, "Georgi" has to do too. He switched from calling her Georgia to Georgi. It is cute. |
